Rigid Heddle Weaving: Hand Manipulated Techniques - SOLD OUT
If you’ve already mastered plain weave, and completed a few projects, then you are ready to move up to the next level! In this class, you will learn how to add new decorative elements to your projects, and explore more intricate patterns.  A full video setup makes it very easy to see and follow along your instructor. First, we will focus on hand-manipulated techniques such as Danish Medallions, Brook’s Bouquet, Leno, and Clasped Weft. We will then move on to learning how to use a pick up stick to add some interesting pattern possibilities. We will also go through yarn choice, how to calculate project yardage and plan for more complex projects.

Skill level:  The ideal student is one who has mastered plain weave and done a few projects and is looking to expand their skills. These techniques make more interesting projects with very little additional investment. The next class up after this would be Rigid Heddle Weaving: Using Double Heddles.
