This workshop investigates the traditional “Ancient Natural Dyes of the Americas”, including Indigo, Cochineal, Weld, Madder, Fustic, Weld, Walnut, Logwood and Brazilwood. We will explore the source of the dye materials, whether plant or insect, review the historic significance of the dye stuffs and focus on the fiber sources found in the Americas - wool and camelid.

Please note this workshop is held in a heated tent and your hands will be in and out of water.
